What Is The Average Cost Of a Facelift?

When considering facelift surgery for facial rejuvenation, one of the most important factors patients inquire about is the cost of surgery. It’s important to keep in mind that the cost of a facelift is going to vary state by state. The cost also depends on who your surgeon is and how much experience they have. When choosing a plastic surgeon, be sure to check his/her credentials to ensure they are board certified in plastic surgery with a lot of experience with facelift surgery.

At Utah Facial Plastics, there are three fees associated with the facelift surgery cost; surgeon’s fee, facility fee and the fee for anesthesia.

Surgeon’s Fee

The first fee you we typically discuss is the surgeon’s fee. At this time, we charge $6,500 for a facelift and $5,950 for a MACSlift (prices subject to change). This fee also includes approximately $600 in recovery products, such as Arnica, a full skincare regimen from SkinMedica, camouflage makeup, and scar recovery gel. We include the items to assist with recovery and enhance the overall result. The skincare regimen we include will also help preserve the results of your procedure.

Facility and Anesthesia

The facility and anesthesia fees are two additional charges that we discuss when reviewing your personalized quote. These fees will vary depending on how long your total surgery is going to take to complete. On average, the facility and anesthesia fees for a facelift range between $2,500 to $3,500. Our surgeons also recommend that their facelift patients stay one night in the hospital, which is an additional $250. Often times, additional procedures will be recommended, such as blepharoplasties (eyelid lifts), chin implants, or fat injections for volumization. These additional procedures will also increase the cost of the facility and anesthesia due to the lengthened amount of time needed to perform surgery.

Our MACSlift procedures are done in-office with one flat fee of $5,950, includes the cost for local anesthetic and surgical supplies.

Prescriptions

Most prescriptions for facelift surgery are covered by insurance but may include a copay or out-of-pocket fee if prescribed for cosmetic purposes only.

Follow Up Appointments

At UFP there is no extra charge for post op or follow up appointments for our facelift patients. All fees are included in the total cost of your surgery, which is collected approximately 3 weeks prior to surgery.
