The Non-Surgical Facelift (“Liquid Facelift”) at Utah Facial Plastics

What is a Non-Surgical Facelift?

A non-surgical facelift or sometimes known as a “Liquid Facelift” is a cutting-edge 3-dimensional approach to non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Our nurse injectors at Utah Facial Plastics combine a variety of dermal fillers to re-volumize and redefine specific areas of the face that have changed over time. It can also be used for those who never had volume or who have genetic features that they would like to enhance.  The techniques and strategic placement are what makes this treatment unique.

Who is a Candidate for a Non-Surgical Facelift?

An ideal candidate for the non-surgical facelift is an individual who has minimal to moderate volume loss, mild facial sagging in the cheeks or jowls, under-eye hollowing or other signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles. Younger patients can also benefit from this procedure because it can be performed as a preventative procedure, which can keep the minimal volume loss at bay.

What to Expect with the Non-Surgical “Liquid” Facelift?

Patients can expect this treatment to take approximately 45 minutes with very minimal to no downtime. Our nurse injectors carefully choose the appropriate filler(s) for each individual patient based on their specific aging concerns. The amount of filler varies from patient to patient based on their stage in the aging process and on their unique facial anatomy. Botox or Dysport can also be added into this formula for overall facial rejuvenation.

What do Typical Non-Surgical or Liquid Facelift Results Look Like?

After 5-10 days, possible bruising and swelling may have subsided, and results are fully apparent. Once healed, patients are truly amazed by their natural results. Patients feel like they look well-rested and rejuvenated, and many feel like they look years younger.

Because the Non-Surgical Facelift does not address superficial skin concerns, some patients choose to undergo a series of skin rejuvenation treatments such as laser resurfacing or chemical peels to enhance their appearance even further. These treatments should be done before having filler as the laser treatments may influence breaking the filler down.  Combining these options can greatly rejuvenate one’s appearance, shave off years, and bring out new confidence.

Botox Treatment

Botox is another treatment that pairs well with a non-surgical facelift. Botox works by partially blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles. This results in the underlying facial muscles relax and the skin begins to smooth out. Botox can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet), forehead, and between the eyebrows. Botox can be expected to last 3-4 months on average and sometimes longer for some people.

How Long Will My Results Last?

The fillers that are being used for the non-surgical facelift typically last anywhere between 6 months to 2 years. However, most patients typically get a touch-up every 1-2 years. The more consistency with treatment, the longer patients are able to wait in between touch-ups. Because of the hyaluronic acid in the filler, over time collagen formation begins to take place. Sculptra is another great injectable option for patients who are looking for more of a long-term collagen building result.

What’s the Cost of a Liquid Facelift?

The cost of a non-surgical facelift varies, but on average can cost anywhere from $2000 to $3500 for the initial treatment. The cost varies with each patient and depends on how much product is needed to achieve desired results. Touch up can be expected to be less because less product will be needed. The cost listed above does not include any other “add on” treatment that address skin rejuvenation treatments.

It is best to come in and consult with your provider to discuss your desires, budget, and what you are hoping to achieve. We can then provide clear recommendations and a plan to move forward if non-surgical facelifting is right for you.
