Katy Larson – NP

Katy

Dr. Mary (Katy) Larson is a DNP and is an advanced Laser Provider and accredited Injector at Utah Facial Plastics with extensive history in the medical field. Katy received her BS in Exercise Science with a minor in nutrition from BYU with the intent to attend medical school. Due to an injury she chose a different path and soon earned her ADN from Weber State University and her BSN from Brigham Young University. Following over 8 years of acute/inpatient hospital experience she went on to graduate Summa cum lade with her Doctorate from the University of Utah as an Adult/Gerontology Acute Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Medical Aesthetic Certification from the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona where she received her Laser/Sclerotherapy Certification, Botox & Filler Injection Certification, and Advanced Botox & Filler Injection Certification.

Katy is a double board certified independent practitioner with acute care and medical/surgical training. She completed a one year Fellowship in Facial Plastics with Utah Facial Plastics where she worked directly with Dr Scott Thompson and Dr Doug Henstrom. Following her fellowship Katy acted as OR director and oversaw the opening of the new Draper Surgical center and full AAASF accreditation. Katy has further specialized with Laser Resurfacing procedures which has required multiple preceptorships from the nations top laser providers and over hundreds of hours of direct hands on training. She is a SCITON laser trainer and takes every opportunity to advance her knowledge while also teaching others.

Katy’s goal is to provide patients with genuine kindness and respect while also helping them achieve the best version of themselves through safe and effective treatments.

Alfie Symes - RN

Alfie Symes is a Registered Nurse and accredited Nurse Injector at Utah Facial Plastics. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminster College in Salt Lake City Utah and went on to obtain her Medical Aesthetic Certification from the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona where she received her Botox & Filler Injection Certification, Advanced Botox & Filler Injection Certification, and Laser/Sclerotherapy Certification.

Upon her arrival, she worked closely under the supervision and direction of Drs. Thompson and Henstrom at both our Layton and Draper locations. She soon became our leading nurse aesthetic injector offering a comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation, providing patients with  non-surgical options for optimal results.

Ms. Symes truly exemplifies the mission of the practice, which is to be a positive force in the lives of patients, treat them with genuine kindness and respect, and help them achieve their aesthetic goals through safe and effective treatments.

Popular injectables Alfie uses frequently for facial rejuvenation include Botox & Dysport, Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Restylane Silk, Perlane, Radiesse, and Belotero. She’s incredibly passionate about helping patients look and feel their best and provides an individualized approach to treating patients through cutting edge non-surgical methods. She treats patients of Utah Facial Plastics in both Layton and Draper.

Alfie Symes lives with her two children and enjoys camping, waterskiing, practicing yoga & pilates, and spending time with friends and family.

Meet Alfie Symes - Nurse Injector at Utah Facial Plastics

Jeanna Wilkerson - RN

Jeanna

Jeanna Wilkerson joined UFP in 2017 and has built a very happy and loyal patient base. Her genuine care and naturally beautiful results make her a perfect addition to the team. Jeanna graduated from Ameritech College in 2012. She then worked as a nurse in a variety of capacities until ultimately finding her passion for aesthetics in 2017. Since then, she has completed a course on neurotoxins and dermal fillers at the National Institute of Medical Aesthetics as well as other advanced injector courses throughout the years.

Upon joining Utah Facial Plastics, she trained directly under Drs. Scott Thompson and Douglas Henstrom, who also work along side her with patients at both the Draper and Layton UFP locations. She treats a variety of aging concerns primarily using Botox and Dysport, Juvederm Vollure, Voluma, Volbella, Restylane and Radiesse.

Jeanna lives in Draper with her daughter. Together, they love to ski, swim, bike, visit Disneyland and Lagoon. Jeanna loves to practice yoga and travel in her free time.

Lauren Blatnik - MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Lauren

Lauren “Lolo” Blatnik is a Registered Nurse who joined the UFP team in 2020 as an Advanced Aesthetic Nurse Injector. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminister College in 2011 and has since then spent most of her years growing her craft as an aesthetic injector nurse. She is passionate about the industry and continually attends advanced trainings, courses and webinars led by some of the industry’s top trainers, nationwide.

With a commitment to continuous education, she stays at the forefront of advancements in functional wellness and hormone help ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. Lauren is passionate about helping individuals achieve balance and wellness through personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

Selected by Drs. Thompson and Henstrom for her level of expertise with injectables, Lauren regularly works with popular products such as Botox, Dysport, Juvederm and Restylane fillers, Radiesse, Sculptra and Kybella. Additionally, she is trained and certified in treatments like laser hair and tattoo removal, photofacial, fractionated and ablative laser resurfacing, sclerotherapy and mesotherapy, and advanced micro needling techniques.

Lauren works with patients in both Layton and Draper and carries a contagious smile wherever she goes. She is passionate about educating patients on changes that take place during the aging process and how to preserve and restore lost volume as well as decreased skin integrity and elasticity. Not only is she passionate about the aesthetics of aging skin, but the actual health as well. She lost her mother to stage IV malignant melanoma in 2019, further fueling her determination to educate and bring awareness to the many factors of skin protection.

On top of her multifaceted talents in aesthetic nursing, Lauren is an AFAA certified group fitness trainer and loves outdoor activities like hiking, snowboarding, camping, river rafting, and traveling. She is a proud dog mom who enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her three nephews.

Sarah Olsen - RN

Sarah

Sarah graduated with her nursing degree from Nightingale College in 2020 and has been working as a Master Esthetician at UFP since 2015. Since graduating she has trained alongside our talented expert Nurse Injectors & Facial Plastic Surgeons at UFP as well as renowned national nurse educators in the industry. Sarah strongly believes in continuing education and is always striving to stay up-to-date on cutting-edge techniques that will help her safely deliver the best results possible for her many patients at UFP Aesthetics.

With over a decade of experience as a high-demand Master Esthetician in Layton, Utah, she is not only able to provide exceptional care with Botox and filler but with skincare treatments and medical-grade skincare products as well. Sarah is able to both assess the benefits of injectables as well as treat all skin issues related to the aging process and patients love that she can educate on both at one appointment. Having this additional knowledge allows her to deliver comprehensive esthetic treatment plans that encompass all aspects of facial rejuvenation and prevention which allows her to provide patients with the most natural, healthy and beautiful results possible. Sarah is known for her compassion for patient care which carries over seamlessly in her role as a Nurse Injector.

Sarah is married and has 2 beautiful children. She enjoys camping and traveling with her family in her spare time.

Trista Mann - RN

Trista

Trista Mann is an experienced and highly skilled advanced nurse aesthetic injector at Utah Facial Plastics, joining our Layton office in 2024. With over six years of hands-on injecting experience, she has built a reputation for delivering exceptional results. Trista earned her Associate's degree in Nursing from Weber State University and later graduated with her nursing degree from Nightingale College in 2019. Since completing her education, she has pursued extensive professional development, attending numerous advanced injectable training courses, including the AMI ACE Program, the AMI Master Expert Series, and a specialized Cadaver Course, further refining her expertise in aesthetic treatments.

Prior to joining UFP, Trista has been working in the medical field since 2005. Most of her year as a medical assistant, followed by her dream to enter into nursing. We were happy to have her join and bring her knowledge, expertise, and skill to match that of our team of experts. Trista is committed to helping patients feel safe and comfortable when stepping in to our office.  She has a common goal to help patients achieve their aesthetic goals and becoming their most confident self.

Trista lives in North Ogden with her two sons and enjoys hiking, camping, off roading, health and fitness, and spending time with her family.
