DERMAL FILLER INJECTABLEs FAQ'S

No injectable is made to address every concern. That's why we have such a wide selection of treatments to choose from. Different classes of products are designed to work on specific concerns. For instance, BOTOX® Cosmetic is an injectable wrinkle-reducer, just like the average dermal filler. However, BOTOX works on dynamic wrinkles by relaxing muscle movement, whereas dermal fillers smooth away lines and creases by increasing tissue volume. Because these different classes of products work in different ways, they can be perfect complements of one another.

BOTOX and dermal fillers are also just the beginning of the injectable treatments you might explore. Beyond these products, you can also turn to injectables to eliminate a double chin (Kybella) or rejuvenate your facial contours via collagen stimulation (Sculptra).

Your treatment regimen can depend on several factors. One is how quickly your body naturally breaks down the product that has been injected. Another is the product that you select. In general, injectable treatments may be performed up to four times per year to maintain exceptional results. Keep in mind that you may return for one type of injectable more often than another. For example, you may receive BOTOX® touch-ups about every 90 days, whereas you may not be ready for a touch-up of JUVÉDERM® for as long as two years.

Lip injections are popular injectable treatments that our team performs on a daily basis. Our injectors have been well-trained and are known for their gentleness and conservative approach to injectable lip augmentation. When you visit one of our convenient locations for lip fillers, you can expect us to cater to your comfort. Before you receive your lip injections, you'll sit with a topical numbing medication on the area for about 20 minutes. This should diminish sensations enough for you to tolerate your treatment without any pain.

In addition to using numbing medication to make your treatment more comfortable, your provider will also fill your lips conservatively, knowing that swelling is a common side effect of lip injections. The leftover product is kept in our office and is available for you to return for a touch-up if you desire more fullness once your swelling has resolved. This treatment approach ensures that you get just the right amount of volume increase to achieve a satisfying, natural-looking outcome.

Many people think of injectables when they want to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles or boost the contours of areas like the lips or cheeks. The neck is often forgotten in all of this, but it's an important area as it relates to your appearance because it frames your face! If you're concerned about laxity, wrinkles, crepe-like skin, or submental fullness, our experienced injectors can help. There are several ways to treat the neck using injectables!
